Set up the Replr keyboard
- Open the Replr app and follow the setup steps. There is no sign-in.
- Open Settings → Apps → Replr → Keyboards, then turn on ReplrKeyboard and Allow Full Access. On iOS 17 and earlier, go to Settings → Replr → Keyboards instead.
- When Replr asks to access your photos, allow full access (not limited access) so the keyboard can pick up your latest screenshot. You can change this later in Settings → Apps → Replr → Photos → Full Access (on iOS 17 and earlier, Settings → Replr → Photos).
- In any chat, long-press the globe key to switch to Replr and tap Start. Screenshot the conversation, tap Generate replies, then pick one of the three drafts and tap Insert reply.
Common questions
How do I get a reply? Open the Replr keyboard in any chat, screenshot the conversation (or use your Action Button / Back Tap shortcut), and tap one of the three drafts to insert it.
Do I need to sign in? No. Replr creates an account for your device automatically, to keep track of your free replies and your subscription. It uses a random ID (or an App Store transaction ID if a purchase is registered first) and does not need your name or email.
Why does the keyboard need Full Access? Full Access lets the keyboard talk to the Replr app through a private shared area on your device and reach the internet to generate replies. Replr does not record your keystrokes. The keyboard reads the message box you open it in, so anything you've typed there can steer the replies. Turn it on in Settings → Apps → Replr → Keyboards → Allow Full Access.
Which languages does Replr support? The app and keyboard are available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Turkish, and follow your iPhone's language. To use a different language for Replr only, tap Language in the app's Settings, which opens Replr's page in iOS Settings. Replies are written in the language of the chat, whatever language the app is in. The Terms, Privacy and FAQ pages are in English only.
Where do my screenshots go? When you capture a chat, the screenshot is sent from your iPhone to Replr's server, which forwards it to a third-party AI provider to generate the suggestions. Replr's server does not keep the screenshot after the replies come back; the provider handles it under its own privacy policy. On your iPhone, Replr keeps your latest screenshot for about an hour so New can use it again (it is deleted the next time you open Replr after that), and a small preview of each capture in the History tab. Replr's server keeps the generated replies for about two minutes, only so a retried request is not charged twice. See the Privacy Policy.
Is it free? Each new device gets 10 free replies, once, with no card needed (limits apply to prevent abuse). After that, Replr Premium is one subscription for unlimited replies across chat, dating and email (fair use applies): £6.99 a week or £39.99 a year in the UK, billed through your Apple ID at the price shown when you subscribe. Eligible new subscribers start with a 3-day free trial, once per Apple ID. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won't be charged. Premium renews automatically until you cancel.
How do I cancel Premium? In your iPhone's Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Replr. Cancel at least 24 hours before your free trial or current period ends and you won't be charged for the next one; Premium stays active until then. Deleting the app or your Replr account does not cancel the subscription.
Is Premium really unlimited? For normal use, yes. Very heavy use is subject to a fair-use limit. If you reach it, your replies free up again when the limit resets.
I subscribed but don't see Premium. Open the Replr app and it restores your subscription automatically. If Premium still isn't showing, tap Restore Purchases on the Premium screen in the app's Settings, or email us.
How do I report a reply? Long-press a draft in the keyboard and tap Report; it's reviewed within 24 hours.
What does Replr remember? Replr saves a short private summary of each chat with a contact on your device. With Memory on (and always in Dating mode), it sends that contact's recent summaries with a new reply so it fits the conversation. Summaries are saved only on your device; Replr's server holds the newest one for about two minutes, only so a retried request is not charged twice.
How do I delete my data? To delete memory, open the History tab, then open a person and tap Delete contact, or use Clear all history. Turning off Settings → Memory stops summaries being sent with chat and email replies (Dating mode always uses them), but does not delete summaries already saved. To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete account in the Replr app. This removes the account, its subscription record and the usage records linked to it, and clears your reply history, memory and contacts on this device. It does not cancel an App Store subscription, which you cancel in your iPhone's Settings.
